Gods command to keep this feast as one of his appointed times ( Moed ) is in Leviticus 23:23

  • The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 24 Speak to the Israelite people thus: In the seventh
month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe complete rest, a sacred occasion
commemorated with loud blasts. 25 You shall not work at your occupations; and you shall
bring an offering by fire to the Lord.

Now remember that this is the Hebrew Calendar that God is talking about regarding the seventh
month. The first month being Passover, Nissan. The seventh month is called Tishrei. The number
7 is an extremely important biblical figure signifying HaShems sequence of creation. To up[hold
these days and dates we accept and identify with him as the creator of all things and his son...
Yeshua HaMashiach.

  • Tanakh Ezekiel 20:12 Moreover, I gave them My sabbaths to serve as a sign between Me
and them, that they might know it is I the Lord who sanctify them..

Again just to reiterate his sabbaths are his signs that we should be locked onto particularly in the
last days if you want to see his directions to you to enter the eternal kingdom, the Messianic Age. If
you are following the " easter bunnies " then alas Satan has you heading toward the Lake of Fire

Traditionally apples and honey are eaten in wishing everyone a Sweet festival. This is a festival and
day of rest and meeting with HaShem to be enjoyed as the Torah is to be enjoyed.

The 1st of Tishrei is also the anniversary of the creation of man..the sixth day of creation.
If you love me, you will keep
my commandments

  • Lev 23:24 Speak to the sons of Israel saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, there shall be a
cessation from work, a retrospection of Teruah, a convocation to the sanctuary. 25 You shall not work at your
occupations; and you shall bring an offering by fire to the Lord

Seven is the number that is the reminder of the sequence of creation, this appointed time is fixed on the Hebrew Biblical
calender. The calendar that was given to mankind by HaShem. Biblically, the beginning of the New year starts in the
spring at the time of Aviv and the Mo'eds Pesach. Judaism celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year at this time in
the seventh month. Many of the sages considered that the sixth day of creation ended at this point. The passage above
states that it is a day of memorial sounding and not the new year. The expression blasts or sounding is not again
associated with the Shofar. There fore it could be shouting. The ten days between Yom Teruah and
Yom Kippur are
known as the " days of awe ". They are days of introspection and repentance " Teshuvah ". A time to consider our selves
and actions over the last year prior to Yom Kippur the day of repentance,  the day the Messiah will return some future year
amid the climactic events leading to Armageddon.

Although in Judaism traditionally the Shofar is sounded which is the trumpet of alarm, the call for repentance, the Hebrew
text does not specifically state that the Shofar is to be sounded on this day but it does on Yom Kippur ten days later...the
day of atonement. The first of the final three feasts in Gods calendar, Yom Teruah is a day of loud blasts which could
mean the use of our voice or whatever to make warnings that we should consider our relationship to HaShem and the
Torah. This feast has
not yet been fulfilled and is known as the day of sounding or blasts. We must return to our root
source as we were born without sin. You can read articles concerning repentance down the left column and on the
